“Clematis”, Acrylic on Canvas

Luminous acrylic on canvas clematis painting, signed and dated 2001 lower right, titled verso. The painting fills the frame with large, open clematis blossoms in soft whites, pale lavender, blue, and hints of yellow. The flowers seem to glow against a deep, leafy background of teal, emerald, and shadowy green, giving the composition a lush garden atmosphere.

The brushwork is expressive but delicate: petal edges are outlined with fine purples and blues, while translucent layers of color create a sense of movement and light. Cool and dreamy!
