Evocative Mixed Media on Paper

Evocative mixed-media work on paper, titled lower center, layering myth, desire and dreamlike ambiguity. In the foreground, a vertical spray of vibrant flowers, painted in electric blues, fiery oranges, and soft pink, anchors the composition. Their sharp, luminous petals feel almost phosphorescent, as though lit from within. Behind them, a mermaid figure materializes. Her shimmering tail arcs upward. To the right, a spectral female torso and face emerge from a pale, softly rendered field, her large, liquid eyes and delicate features conveying a quiet, enigmatic yearning. She appears neither fully present nor submerged, caught in a liminal space between worlds.

Swaths of deep browns, blacks, and ochres create a moody, underwater atmosphere. A transportive work that conveys longing and transformation..
