“Fall Drama”, Watercolour Landscape on Paper

Beautiful watercolour painting on paper, signed lower right, artist bio attached verso,
titled “Fall Drama”, capturing a vivid and atmospheric prairie scene, rich in emotion and seasonal nuance. At its heart stands a grain elevator marked “POOL LANDIS”. The structure rises solemnly above a soft treeline.

The sky dominates the composition with swirling, dramatic hues of lavender, peach, gold, and soft indigo, evoking the intense yet fleeting beauty of an autumn sunset. The light appears to break through the clouds in places, casting a warm, diffused glow behind the elevator and setting the upper portion of the painting ablaze with ethereal color.

Below, the landscape is a tapestry of fall tones—muted greens, faded golds, and touches of rose and purple. The loose, flowing brushwork in the foliage contrasts nicely with the angular solidity of the building. Wonderful!
