“Les Pensionnaires”, Watercolour on Paper

Watercolour composition on paper done by Antoine Prevost, signed and dated 74 lower right, titled to the gallery label attached verso, featuring a minimalist and serene composition, showcasing a group of cloaked figures in a desolate, snowy landscape.

Prévost employs soft gradients and muted tones, emphasizing the ethereal, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The long, soft shadows stretching across the white ground contribute to the stark and tranquil mood, suggesting early morning or late afternoon light. Contemplative and mysterious, the stillness in a vast, quiet space is skillfully captured.
