“Lilacs”, Large Floral Watercolour on Paper

Wonderfully soft and expressive floral painting, signed lower left, bursting with texture and life. It depicts abundant bouquets of lilacs, rendered in a loose, impressionistic style. Rich purples and violets dominate the composition, beautifully offset by splashes of deep greens, touches of yellow, and airy blues that create a fresh, almost shimmering background. The brushwork is delicate and layered, giving the flowers a dreamlike, misty quality—almost as if they’re caught in a fleeting moment of sunlight or a memory. The scene feels both lush and tranquil, cheers to the ephemeral magic of flowers!
