Surreal Mixed Media Drawing on Paper

Surreal drawing titled “A Friend Is a Present You Give to Yourself” verso, framed under anti glare glass, unfolding as a surreal, dream-like tableau rendered in deep blue-green tones, drifting between tenderness and unease.

The composition centers on an enormous, softly lit face. Surrounding this face is an intricate mass of coiling, tube-like forms, etched with delicate linework. Below, a toy-like figure reclines among rounded, cloud-like shapes, as if floating through an imagined landscape that mixes childhood fantasy with something more enigmatic. Across the canvas, familiar shapes are distorted into strange companions: the suggestion of a plush creature and bulbous silhouettes that hover between comfort and strangeness. The result is an intimate, psychological world where friendship becomes both a gift and a mystery.. intriguing!
