Vibrant Mixed Media Floral Drawing

Wonderful mixed media drawing on paper, unsigned, presenting a softly abstracted still life of flowers in a rounded magenta vase. The artist employs layered textures and a subdued yet warm palette—ochres, mauves, teal greens, and dusty reds—to create a sense of both depth and intimacy. The forms of the flowers are loosely defined with expressive, gestural strokes..

The background, mottled in orange and gold tones with scattered markings, evokes a tapestry-like surface that contrasts gently with the cooler, smoother expanse of the tabletop. The composition balances spontaneity and restraint: the roughly modeled vase anchors the image while the surrounding brush and pastel textures radiate an organic liveliness. Dreamy and poetic!
