Oil Figurative On Board of Rural Women

Expressive oil on board, signed lower right, portraying four women gathered in a rural setting, each engaged in the quiet routines of everyday life. At the center, a confident figure balances a large woven basket on her head, becoming the focal point of the composition. Around her, the other women tend to household tasks - handling freshly washed linens, carrying a green earthenware jug, and standing in conversation - while a blue-and-yellow ceramic vessel anchors the foreground.

Rendered with loose, painterly brushstrokes and simplified forms. The figures are constructed with bold planes of earthy browns, muted greens, warm reds, and soft creams, lending the scene a distinctly modernist yet folk-inspired character. Wonderful!
