“Timeless Task”, S/N litho print
$130
One of a kind: there is only one.
Beautiful litho print done by the award winning Toronto artist Audrey Stewart, pencil signed, titled, and dated at the lower margin, 2/350, COA attached on the back.
Here Stewart paints in a realistic style with rich intense colours that draw the viewer into the backyard where a woman is weeding. Her subject matter is always people, their lives and stories. This painting is part of a series “Timepieces” depicting scenes of rural pioneer life.
What’s more, there’s a nice prose on the back:
“The sun is shining, a light breeze is blowing, the grass is turning green and the ground is pushing forth new spring flowers.
After a long cold winter, not even the “Timeless Task” of weeding can dampen the spirit of spring fever.”
